After harvesting tender fresh herbs, we all know that they can become quite limp, soggy, and expires quite quickly in the fridge. Here are some tips to keeping the herbs fresh, crisp, and tasty!

Rinse your herbs well under cool water to remove any dirt or insects. Gently shake off excess water and pat dry with paper towels. Cut off the excess stems as you would with fresh flowers, then place them in a glass or vase filled with cool water.

Keep the leaves of the herbs above the rim of your jar and not submerged, just as you would with a floral arrangement. Change water if it begins to look cloudy, refrigerate & clip any leaves that turn yellow or brown.

Basil: Basil does best stored in the same way mentioned above, but instead of storing it in the fridge, you will keep them on your counter top.
